Waste Acid Treatment System has been developed and successfully used by Proses Makina to control the waste acid or base that occurs at the end of hydrometallurgical operations. The general purpose of a pH neutralization plant is to neutralize the waste product solution before discharging it to the environment. The requirement in terms of pH value to be discharged from a wastewater treatment plant is in the range of 7 to 8. The main reason is to protect rivers and aquatic life and to avoid damage due to corrosion.
- Ensures the optimum pH range with an automatic feeding system
- Contributes to the circular economy by reducing acid/base consumption with the reuse of it after the neutralization process
- Excellent integration of the neutralization system for the processes to be treated, including chemical preparation and sedimentation tanks
- Provides gradual sedimentation operation to achieve the environmental limit
- High separation rates through the filter press system
Technical Specifications
The Waste Acid Treatment System is designed for the neutralization and treatment of acidic process solutions generated from hydrometallurgical operations, metal refining, battery recycling and chemical processing plants.
The system automatically adjusts pH, precipitates dissolved heavy metals, separates sludge and produces environmentally compliant treated water for discharge or further treatment.
